Inspired by the film script "Das Spiel ist aus" by Jean-Paul Sartre

This choreographic work marks its first adaptation into dance.

This choreographic work examines the tension between freedom and determinism, questioning whether the possibility of choice can ever escape the forces that have already shaped us. Two people are granted a second chance, yet remain entangled in the social structures, inherited patterns, and embodied memories that continue to determine their actions.

Rather than translating Sartre's text into movement, the performance reconfigures its dramaturgical architecture through a contemporary choreographic language. The narrative—encounter, separation, repetition, and renewed failure—remains present as an underlying structure, while the body becomes the primary site of thought, memory, and contradiction. The stage unfolds as a liminal space where time loops, decisions reverberate, and the past persists within the present. In this landscape, movement exposes the persistent gap between intention and action, inviting the audience to reflect on the paradox of human freedom and the possibility of beginning again.
